Jonas Brothers

If you are looking for some new music for this summer and are bored with the norm, check out the Jonas Brothers. They have clean music that is great for any time, but expecially summer. The songs are for all occasions: love, breakups and even traveling to the future. They are cute too - which is always a plus, right? Check 'em out and I have faith you'll love them. :D

Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer

I heard all the hype a few years ago about these books, knew they were on the bestseller list for like 28 weeks in a row, and even had some of my friends recommend them to me, but I never really got into them. I never understood the draw of vampires and was never a fan of vampire books myself. So that was until recently, with the movie coming out and everyone reading them (not to mention the fact that Robert Patterson is playing Edward <3). So I finally decided to jump on the Bandwagon, and pick up a copy. My first reaction: WOW. These books are amazing! I can't believe that I never read them before!
The story follows the life of a teenage girl, Bella Swan, as she moves to live in the small town of Forks, Washington with her father. She is seriously depressed, and all it does is rain, which does not help her mood, but she stays and suffers cause she knows its right. Then she meets Edward Cullen, one of the strange Cullen family who hardly ever talks to anyone, go on family camping trips, are the most gorgeous family in town, have glitzy sport cars, and are, oh yeah, Vampires. Bella quikly falls for Edwards crooked smile and ocher eyes, but could she be loosing her head over him (quite possibly literally)???
Seriously read these books.
Yours Truly,

Mason by Thomas Pendleton

This book is delightfully disturbing, continuously flowing with action page after page, and is difficult to put down. The author has created an amazing web of consequences that will get one thinking about what is right and wrong, and when innocence is an acceptable excuse. He has also incorporated many realistic circumstances that young adults may have the unfortunate to experience into the story, while giving the readers a fictional basis to enjoy.
Pendleton has created a world, and characters that readers of all ages and experiences will relate to. The two main characters, Mason and Gene, represent the traditional “Good vs. Bad” theme in a refreshingly untraditional way. The conflicts are above and beyond what average readers will have experienced, but the feelings captured are all ones that they would have. Mason’s ability to create a world of his own is one that most of us dream of. After all, don’t we all want to escape sometimes?

Schools almost over! Only 5 more days, which means so much more time to keep up this blog. People everywhere need to know whats hot for young girls, and I am here to help. Keep checking it out, because I promise to stay in here with new posts!!!!

Yes... Im doing a sports review. As I said before this is a very eclectic blog, and I am going for all sorts of angles.

I just started Tennis this spring/winter, and I love it! It is so much fun. While it takes a lot of work and concentration, it can be done for recreation and enjoyment as well. This is a sport that you can carry with you for your entire life, and even play with your family. It is a great way to get in shape, and gain lots of energy. Plus you get to meet lots of new people, and wear cute skirts too! I definitely recommend checking it out, You won't regret it! (and if you do, don't blame me! :D)

Q. What do you do if you have an "enemy" that keeps spreading rumors about you? This girl is a friend of my friends, but for some reason absolutely hates me. I don't know what to do, and I'm worried that she's going to turn my friends away from me, because she is always talking about me to them. HELP!!

A. Ok, well first what you need to do is reevaluate your friendships with the girls that allow this girl to talk about you. If you trust them and absolutely will die without their friendship then that's fine, but you need to decide if hanging out with someone who allows others to "dis" you is really best. Next, don't listen to the rumors and don't let them bother you! I realize that is easier said then done, but I went through the same thing and it really helped. Once this girl realizes that you don't care about the things she was saying, she will probably get tired of trying to hurt you. Remember, the only reason this girl would put you down is because she either is threatened by you, or wants to hurt you. If you show her that nothing she says is affecting you, she may reevaluate her priorities. Also, if she says mean things to your face, just laugh it off (and let her see you doing it!) Once your friends see that you don't care, they won't either, and it will show those around her that she may not be as accountable as they originally thought. Hope that helps, and let me know how it goes!
Yours Truly, Bells.

Alright - so I lied on my last post, and Im very sorry. I am finally back now, and rearin to go! (ok that was a little cheesy, but what can I say?) I promise to write more reviews, questions, stories, and the such, but you have to promise to send me things as well! Once more, enjoy, and keep writing.

Sorry I've been so negligent in my blogging lately, I've actually been away from my house (and therefore my computer) until quite recently. I can't write much now, but I promise I will be back tomorrow. I've finals to study for, so therefore I am a complete captive to my computer and books, and will eventually get bored of studying. Hope you enjoy your weekend! - Your's Truly, Bells.

Ask and Answer

Q: What do you do if you and a bunch of friends go out and there is this one friend that never pays? Many times she goes to the bathroom when the bill comes and then she never pays her share. We all notice, so we tried getting indiviual bills, but then she would just not order anything and eat all of our stuff and still not pay! She is a lot of fun, and we all really like her, except she always does this. What do we do?

A: While it may be annoying that your friend may be trying to skim off you guys, or quite possibly she might be having some financial trouble at home. Try having one of your group talk to her, possibly the one she seems closeset to. I definitely wouldn't recommend trying to talk to her as an entire group, that might seem like you are ganging up on her, and will probably make her defensive. Also, when someone does talk to her, don't blame her for skimming off the bill, just tell her you've noticed that she seems to leave when the bill comes, or something along those lines. You could also get her a new purse or wallet for her birthday or as a "friendship gift", or something. That might be enough of a hint for her. Just talk with her about it, and hopefully she will start paying more attention. But if your friend doesn't seem to change, maybe start being more direct with her, continue getting individual bills, but if she tries to eat your food, and not offer to pay, then just tell her that's not acceptable. Hopefully you can handle this without ruining your friendship. Remember, be delicate! Your's Truly, Bells

The Princess Diaries

I have to recommend the Princess Diaries for every girl! and I mean the books. Meg Cabot did an amazing job on these stories, and she really gets into the feelings a girl our age might have if we were thrust into a position such as Mia was. If you don't know the story, Mia is a young girl who is just starting high school. She is awkard and the complete of opposite of popular, not to mention she just found out she is the princess of her own small country. We get to hear her story from her point of view. Great read, but don't compare the books to the movies at all. They may have the same general story line, but thats where the similarities begin. The books obviously have so many more details, but the movie changes many things, such as names, places and even who's supposed to be dead or alive. The movies are great, and I'm a major fan of Julie Andrews, but the books are great. Every girl is a princess, and through these books, all of us get to be, through Mia! I think every girl should check them out!

I just saw Jumper tonight, and I would totally recommend it. Hot guys, amazing accents, and incredible views from all over the world. Definitely date material. There's not much I can say about the actual movie itself without giving much away, but this is Hayden Christensen at his best. Filled with action and a twisting plot this is a must see for any girl.

Girl Kibitz?

So, I have been asked about the name of this blog and I realized that I should probably explain to everyone. Kibitz: 1. to offer gratuitous advice as an outsider. 2. To chat; converse. And obviously the girl part is self explanatory. I hope I've cleared that up for everyone. ;)

Military Kids

Sooo, this is really important information for everyone. Everywhere now, with the troops over seas, are children and families who were left behind. These children all have different challenges and fears they have to suffer more than those who dont have family members over seas. Many childrens lives are upset and completely overturned when their family members leave. Most of the time, the family gets only a day or two notice before the member has to leave. These families go from two parent households to a single parent household in just a few simple hours. While a few families have support systems, many in small towns have no outside support. So, why am I writing about this? Because it is the community's job to come together and create the support these children need. At a difficult time, our communities must become the families that these wonderful people have lost. Look around your community and I am sure you will be suprised at how many people are among this group. It is our job to be supportive of these people that day in and out support our country.

For my first product eval I will present to you the wonderous product of Nuetrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Daily Cleanser and Mask. I tried this because I was bored with my usual cleaning routine and thought I would change it up. I never thought it would be the best decision of my year. I absolutely love these products! The cleaner is gentle enough to use everyday (which I do) and it shows results almost immediately. And it really is invigorating! It helps me wake up each morning, Happily! After the first time I washed my face with this, my pores were visibly smaller, and my skin was amazingly smooth. I don't think I have had this smooth of skin since I was a baby! As for the mask, it is incredible as well. I can't wait for my weekly in home, treat yourself spa night. I wouldn't recommend using this product more than once or twice a week as a mask, but you dont need to. If your current product isn't working and you're looking for something new, Try This! I almost guarantee this will work for you. I know it did for me! But don't take my word for it. Go out and try it yourself!!!!
